It has been two years of R&D, they started on it 3 years ago this month, that means they have been working for 1 year on the new IP using what they came up with in R&D....
My guess is that the next game whatever it will be will have players be able to create **sculptures** instead of using stickers as they did with LBP 1 and 2....

I think this new game will be something extra special... If I recall they spent around 5 million on R&D alone. Including R&D they have now spent just around 3 years on this new "mystery title", which they call as being very ambitious, far more so than LBP....
They will most likely out source the next LBP... But I bet this new game will be full of style, innovation, be dripping with creativity, and be as far from generic as games get...
I think the eye candy will be stunning. I wonder what extra advantages they will have "art direction wise", with the extra power, the handcuffs are almost off now, they will (do) have so much extra room to create a stunning masterpiece, not to even mention the extra power to add in wonderful new gameplay twists and expansive set pieces....
I also hope we get to hear about there other "IP"...Exciting times ahead for sure...
This game along with the next Oddworld inhabitants game, Medievil, dark cloud 3, Kingdom hearts 3, and of course The Last Guardian have been on my wait forever list far too long.
The core team, at least a portion of it should have moved on to it now that there part of creating Rayman legends is finished...
